Description: Climate change affects respiratory health. Climate change is an issue that, according to current forecasts, will become more severe in the future years. Rising climate factors and air pollution have an effect on respiratory health and mortality, with climate change becoming an extensive direct danger to respiratory health by aggravating or promoting respiratory illnesses, as well as indirectly through elevated exposure to risk factors of respiratory illnesses. By 2100, ozone-related respiratory deaths are anticipated to rise 15%.3 Many people around the world are forced to face these dangers. Pharmacists are uniquely positioned to offer a supplementary role in an interprofessional collaborative care strategy for respiratory illnesses.
