“Empowering pharmacists in menopause care: Expanding roles and patient support”
Attendance an online digital event on Oct. 18, 2024 entitled “Empowering pharmacists in menopause care: Expanding roles and patient support”. The event was offered by International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP).
Description: Although perimenopause and menopause are unavoidable stages of a woman's life, each experience is distinct, impacted by culture, health beliefs, and overall well-being, with emotional, mental, physical, and social consequences. This event looked at how pharmacists might widen their roles to assist women through this transition. Participants learned how to recognise symptoms, understand cultural and ethnic variations, and offer patient-centered treatment. In conjunction with World Menopause Day 2024, which highlighted menopause hormone therapy, the webinar enabled pharmacists to improve patient support and make a meaningful contribution to menopausal care.
