Description: Musculoskeletal (MSK) pain is a prevalent illness that affects millions of people, lowering quality of life and raising healthcare expenses. Community pharmacists serve as the initial point of contact for individuals seeking treatment from MSK discomfort. In honor of Global Day Against Pain, the event highlighted a new FIP guidance aimed at improving MSK pain management in pharmacies. The recommendation assured the use of heat therapy, both as a single therapy and in conjunction with other therapies. Attendees learned regarding various types and symptoms of MSK pain, how heat therapy works, and how to diagnose and manage patients properly in the pharmacy setting.
