Attendance an online digital event on Jan. 30, 2024 entitled “Climate change and vector-borne neglected tropical diseases: Positioning pharmacy practice to drive awareness, prevention and management”. The event was offered by International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP). 

Description: Neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) affect over one billion people yearly, and disproportionately influence poor communities, especially children and women in tropical reagions, resulting in 200,000 annual deaths all over the world. Moreover, universal climate change is influencing the distribution manners of these illnesses and cases are appearing in countries where they had never been a reason for concern. Pharmacists can perform a critical function in increasing consciousness of NTDs and in their management and prevention. To recall World NTDs Day, FIP invited us to participate in the event and learn how pharmacists may participate in eradicating NTDs as well developing global health.
