Attendance an online digital event on Feb. 04, 2025 entitled “The role of pharmacists in the fight against cancer: A people-centred approach to cancer care”. The event was offered by International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP).
Description: This webinar, which marked World Cancer Day, highlighted the importance of people-centred cancer care and the vital role pharmacists played in this approach. It explored how pharmacists prioritised patients' needs and preferences in oncology care, collaborated within multidisciplinary cancer teams, and contributed to improving access to care, including through task sharing in low- and middle-income countries. Attendees gained practical insights into how pharmacists supported people with cancer, ensuring a personalised and empathetic approach to care that placed the patient at the centre of the treatment process. This event aimed to empower pharmacists to make a meaningful impact in cancer care.
