On Wednesday, October 29, 2025, I had the privilege of experiencing one of Türkiye’s most inspiring national celebrations — Republic Day. Together with my Turkish friend Sena, we planned to join the festivities at Maltepe Square of the Republic. To express our joy and unity, we decided to wear red outfits, the color that symbolizes passion, strength, and the spirit of the Turkish flag.

Before heading to the event, we took a cheerful photo together at Küçükyalı Metro Station, capturing our excitement for the day. The atmosphere was already festive, and public transportation was free, making it easier for everyone to reach the celebration areas and take part in the national joy.

When we arrived, the atmosphere was absolutely magical — patriotic songs filled the air, red flags waved proudly, and people held their glowing phones high like stars in the night sky. Everyone sang together, their voices echoing unity and pride. 

It was truly a magnificent day in every sense — a day that celebrated not only the founding of the Republic but also the shared spirit, culture, and togetherness of the Turkish people.
